We did a beautiful installation recently for a client who wanted their new home to have a set of automated blinds. One in the main room and the other in a second room, both facing the street. As we wanted something reliable, with a great choice of fabrics and which had a silent running mechanism, we opted for Lutron Shades.
The house is stunning and the woodwork and finishings are beautiful so we had to be careful to ensure that whatever went in, suited the property and wasn’t going to require lots of cables to be run or risk damaging any plaster or woodwork. This option is completely wireless so we don’t have to worry about running power cables or hiding wires/sockets around the woodwork. The running of Lutron shades is precise, silent and smooth so much better for the family when they’re settling down.
They decided upon a really nice material in the Sivoia range and we installed it under the URC Total control system. To control it they can use an app or voice control but some people like an old fashioned switch so we put one in too. It’s got a brass finish so works really well in the room.
Lutron have lots of options with switches so you’ll always get one that will go with your home. We’ve set it to raise in the morning and come down at night but the times can be altered to whatever suits them.
Energy saving
We think you’ll agree that they look fantastic and really suit the rooms. By integrating it with our control system URC, it means we can have it all controlled under the one system with heading, lighting, security, TV and door control added in too.
Lutron shades are great for conserving energy too, when combined with their lighting and dimmers, it will make an impact on your electricity usage. We can set them to operate for a Summer and Winter setting, so it controls the light and heat coming in. They’re also made with sustainable materials which is better for the environment too.
Whole home solutions
Our team of installers worked with the client to get solutions that suited them and their family. From the door system, to the CCTV system, TVs and much more, setting these up as part of a complete integrated system was the icing on the cake.
